The Most Highly Developed Lamp Coatings Available

Utilizing proprietary manufacturing methods scientifically developed over the years, we have created the most highly developed shatter containment materials available. Advanced Lamp Coatings utilizes a variety of coatings to ensure the safety aspect of every lamp. If any lamp or bulb shatters or breaks, virtually all the glass is contained within a variety of coatings and encasements. Each one of our Coating methods are UL classified and tested to ensure that no glass or other materials escape the safety coating.

The Difference is in The Process

Advanced Lamp Coatings utilizes proprietary dipping, spraying, and sleeving processes to coat all lamps and bulbs. Our exclusive heating formulas ensure all coatings are precisely sealed. The coatings and processes vary, depending on the type of lamps or bulbs and their application, to maximize clarity, quality and usage. In addition, all our processes keep lamp ends exposed for better contact and to meet regulatory requirements.

SILICURE™ - Durable and clear, this unique formulation provides lasting protection.

SILICURE is a unique, crystal clear, silicone-based formulation that provides lasting protection and is so transparent, lamps and bulbs appear uncoated. If a lamp or bulb is dropped or broken, virtually all the glass is contained within a soft but firm encasement. SILICURE is typically used for coating Compact Fluorescent, Halogen and Incandescent lamps and bulbs, including A-Shape, Reflector Flood, Decorative and PAR Incandescent.
Lamps and bulbs coated in SILICURE undergo a four step dipping process:
  1. The lamps and bulbs are immersed in SILICURE. The length of time they are dipped will depend on the lamp shape and size.
  2. Still wet, the lamps and bulbs are placed in a special holding area where they are allowed to completely dry.
  3. Once dry, they are then exposed to high heat to seal the coating
  4. After being allowed to cool, the lamps and bulbs are inserted in their original packaging, ready for shipping.

TEF-COTE™ - Designed for use in higher heat applications to provide the highest level shatter containment performance.

TEF-COTE, our Teflon®*-based coating, is tough, clear and provides the highest level shatter containment performance. TEF-COTE is designed to have broad application for high heat and HID products such as Metal Halides and Low Pressure Sodium Lamps typically used in high ceiling facilities, parking areas and street lights. In addition TEF-COTE is ideal for coating low temperature bulbs used in high heat conditions, i.e., oven bulbs.
*Teflon is a registered trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company or its affiliates.

TEF-COTE is applied utilizing an advanced spraying process to ensure complete coverage:
  1. Lamps and bulbs are pre-heated to maximize adherence of TEF-COTE to the glass.
  2. Once they reach specified temperatures, lamps and bulbs are sequentially loaded into a specially designed booth where TEF-COTE is sprayed to completely cover the products. Please note that excess TEF-COTE is captured in the booth for re-use which minimizes waste and helps to keep our environment clean.
  3. The lamps and bulbs are then placed in enclosed units where high heat seals the coating.

FLUOROSAFE™ - Higher impact, linear fluorescent protection for a cost effective sealing application.

FLUOROSAFE is our cost effective, higher impact standard tubing protection for Linear Fluorescent Lamps. These lamps provide the food industry with improved safety, brightness and toughness. FLUOROSAFE is used to protect standard, full wattage or energy saving, rapid or instant start Linear Fluorescent Lamps.
The FLUOROSAFE tubing process is simple yet reliable to ensure consistency of quality and protection:
  1. Tubes pre-cut to lamp size are aligned for lamp insertion.
  2. Lamps are inserted in the tubes.
  3. Special sealing rings are pneumatically affixed to both tube ends to secure the enclosure and ensure its stability.

ADVANTECH™- Premium sleeving process ensures the highest quality protection for the life of the lamp. It's also ideal for higher temperature applications.

ADVANTECH is our premium sleeving process that ensures high quality protection for the life of Linear Fluorescent Lamps. ADVANTECH is used for coating high output (HO) Linear Fluorescent Lamps. For added protection of extreme temperature (VHO) Linear Fluorescents, two sleeves are applied.
ADVANTECH is an efficient five step process:
  1. Linear Fluorescent Lamps are aligned for sleeving.
  2. ADVANTECH sleeves are cut to the length of the lamps.
  3. Lamps are inserted in the sleeves.
  4. The lamps are run through heating units to seal the coating.
  5. After cooling, excess from the sleeves is trimmed.

FROSTGUARD™ - Specialized solutions for low temperature operation, "THICK WALL" jacket and proprietary sealing process provides maximum protection for use in freezing and refrigeration.

FROSTGUARD offers you protective lighting solutions for low temperature operation. Our "THICK WALL" jacket and propriety sealing process provides maximum protection for Linear Fluorescent Lamps in freezing and refrigeration applications. By adding more space between the tube and the lamp, we've improved protection and insulation.
The FROSTGUARD tubing process ensures that Linear Fluorescent Lamps perform brighter and tougher in low temperature applications:
  1. Tubes pre-cut to lamp size are aligned for lamp insertion.
  2. Lamps are inserted in the tubes.
  3. Our two step sealing process features the insertion of firm yet malleable foam to keep the lamp from shifting. Then shrinking end caps are affixed to the tube ends to maximize the seal.
  4. The lamp ends are exposed to high temperatures to complete the seal.

  5. TURTLE SAFE LIGHTING - Do you own a business or a private residence that's located on the beach shore? Did you know that Lights seen from the beach shore can disrupt baby sea turtles from finding their way into the ocean. Call us today and find out about our turtle safe lighting. We can coat your bulbs so that they only produce light in the red end of the spectrum. Studies have shown that by doing this causes a reduction in the chance that a hatching sea turtle will be disrupted and not make it to the ocean.

Every Process Creates the Perfect Safety Bulb

At the end of every process, whether the lamps and bulbs are dipped, sprayed, sleeved or tubed, our lighting professionals triple check every product to ensure coverage integrity, zero defects and crystal clear clarity. Only then do we insert lamps and bulbs in their original packaging, ready for shipping to you.
